Mark Cross is re-engaging its core customer and attracting a new audience with its first standalone boutique in years.

The New York City space embodies the brand’s “rich heritage in the arts and culture with a modern, relevant spin,” as it seeks to re-engage its core customer who fell in love with the brand after watching Grace Kelly in Alfred Hitchcock’s Rear Window. In addition, Mark Cross has an aim to attract a new audience, “one who relates to today's art and fashion scene.”

Considering the iconic status of the overnight bag Mark Cross created for Kelly to carry in the film, Russell completed her YSL ensemble with the Mark Cross Grace Cube Leather Box Bag in Brush Off Black ($2,495). Guests Jazmin Grace Grimaldi, Erica Choi, and Karina Bik wore the brand’s Rear Window Leather Overnight Case, Grace Small Leather Box Bag, and Grace Cube Leather Box Bag, respectively.

DJ: Mona Matsouka spun tunes throughout the event, while artists Elissa Barber and Alberte Skronski hand-painted custom designs on Mark Cross product for attending guests. Doan Ly created a wall installation featuring iconic accessories and beautiful floral arrangements. Guests were encouraged to experience the current Mark Cross offerings while enjoying a variety of cocktails and hors d'oeuvres.
